Three amazing activities to do during Hogmanay in Edinburgh

Hogmanay in Edinburgh, it is truly something special.

Bringing in the bells in Edinburgh, does it get any better? Nobody does Hogmanay quite like us Scots, even better if it is in the capital.

Edinburgh takes Hogmanay very seriously. It is known far and wide as the best destination for all revellers wanting to take in the bells in style.

Let’s look at five great activities to do in the capital this year. You won’t be disappointed.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party

The ever-renowned, world-famous Street Party makes a triumphant return to the capital this year to bring you one of the best celebrations around.

Situated against the breathtaking backdrop of the iconic Edinburgh Castle, a whopping 30,000 revellers travelling in from all corners of the globe will celebrate the countdown, dancing their way into the New Year.

Expect a whole host of great activities, including live DJs, funfair attractions and delicious food and drink vendors to help you enjoy your evening that little bit more.

Plus, for the first time. Revellers will be part of the visual spectacles with their own LED wristbands to light up the pivotal midnight moment.

If you haven’t experienced the Hogmanay Street Party, we urge you to run, don’t walk, and get tickets.

Concert in the Gardens

It wouldn’t be Hogmanay in Edinburgh without a little live music now, would it?

Pop legends, The Pet Shop Boys will be gracing the West Prices Street Gardens this year for an evening filled with some of the greatest hits for revellers. The event will run into the wee hours, so you can be sure you’ll be able to bring in the bells with a brilliant soundtrack.

The group is acclaimed as one of the most successful pop duos worldwide and returns to the West Princes Street Gardens nine years after selling out the event previously.

You can pick up your tickets right here. Please be aware that tickets purchased through any third-party websites will not be valid, so be vigilant to ensure your admission on the evening.
