“We were staying in Edinburgh and were looking for a restaurant that was essentially Scottish. We walked past Dulse and liked the look and intimacy of the bar/restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was innovative and creative featuring the best of Scottish seafood. It is a great local restaurant that gives you the feel of the real Westend neighbourhood of Edinburgh. Lovely friendly staff with a great knowledge of the food and wine. Good value for money for fine dining.” – Kathryn

“We visited Dulse in the early evening this week for the first time. When we booked we had to choose between the tasting menu or a la carte. We had opted for a la carte. We were warmly welcomed and taken straight to our table on the ground floor - the tasting menu is served upstairs. It’s a lovely room with a warm, cosy and relaxed feel. There’s a bar and just a few tables with more tables upstairs. We had the menu and specials explained in detail and were well looked after throughout our visit. We chose snacks to start - sourdough bread with gorgeous, flavoured butter and huge stuffed olives. Gorgeous! Our starters of mussels and scallops were again so full of flavours. We added sides of seaweed seasoned new potatoes and asparagus to go with our mains. Lobster Moray and crispy halibut were just sublime. Everything we ate was full of such amazing flavours. We couldn’t manage a dessert, but the menu was tempting. A lovely evening of food with great service in welcoming surroundings - we’ll certainly be back!” - Bulla
